Ticket tips
You need a ticket before starting your journey. It is not always clear which ticket is right for the planned journey or for daily commuting. Our ticket advisor will find just the ticket for you. Try it out for yourself!
Important information:
- Tickets cannot be purchased on trains.
- Always validate the ticket immediately at the start of the journey.
- Day tickets and monthly passes must be personalised in advance.
- Groups of 10 people or more must register their journey.
VRB app
Get started quickly and easily with the mobile ticket. You can pay with PayPal, SEPA direct debit, credit card and prepaid credit (voucher).
At ticket machines in railway stations
Whether Deutsche Bahn, enno, erixx or WestfalenBahn – you can get all tickets in the VRB range from ticket machines. Pay by EC/credit card or cash.
Ticket machines at light railways
The ticket machines in the Braunschweig tram also offer tickets for the entire VRB area. Payment is made by EC/credit card or cash.

Please have your fare ready. For safety reasons, change will not be given for amounts above €10.
In the service centres of the transport companies
We can give you personal advice in the service centres. You can also submit your season ticket application here or apply for a customer card.
At the advance-ticket offices
VRB tickets are available at numerous kiosks and travel centres. These can be identified by the VRB sticker.
